As a theatre fan, do you ever get asked to recommend shows? I do, quite a lot as you might expect from someone running a weekly theatre newsletter! I love suggesting shows for people that I think they’ll love. But there’s always part of me that gets nervous about wasting their money if they’re not a fan. I get extra nervous when it’s a show that I love. So yesterday was interesting taking eight friends to see my current West End favourite - Come from Away!

I had nothing to worry about of course - they loved it. It’s such an uplifting show about the kindness of humanity even in the darkest times. Something we can probably take solace in at the moment, making the show more relevant than ever despite it being about an event that happened in 2001. If you’re feeling worried and down about the state of the world, I would definitely recommend this show for you. And hopefully you would love it just as much!
In the news this week, Taron Egerton had an eventful first preview for his new show. A new K-pop musical is eyeing up a West End run. And which show got 11 Olivier Award nominations? Catch up on the nominations being announced on YouTube.
Happy ticket-buying!

I’m kind of a big deal
As mentioned above, despite the first preview not quite going to plan, a certain show has opened in the West End and is causing quite a stir. Could it be the fact that Bridgerton and Kingsman heart-throbs Jonathan Bailey and Taron Egerton are involved? Or could it be that title is not something I can write in full here… 🙈
Anyway, many people have been shocked to see that the cheapest ticket prices for C**k are currently around £70 a pop! So imagine my delight when I saw that TodayTix will be offering their famous rush tickets for the show. And they’re just £20!
You know the drill - download the app and be on there for 10am when the rush tickets are released. It’s bound to be a popular one so give yourself as many options for dates as possible. May the odds be ever in your favour.
