What a week. I sadly said goodbye to my grandad yesterday at his funeral. Work has been non stop and I’ve not felt 100% in a good fortnight! I think myself, along with most people I know, are ready for a good long Christmas break. I just about managed to fit in my last theatre trip before Christmas - Jamie Lloyd’s The Tempest starring Sigourney Weaver. It’s early days so no full review, but I really enjoyed it, particularly the staging. Don’t forget, if you’re under 30, a key worker or receiving government benefits, you can get £25 tickets for the show with the Jamie Lloyd Company’s access scheme. They are fantastic seats at the front of the stalls too! For everyone else, there’s some rush news further down the newsletter…
I’ll probably squeeze in a final theatre visit or two next week, but will definitely be filling most of my time cramming lines for my next show, Boudica. As you might expect, there won’t be a newsletter next Wednesday (I’m sure you all have better things to be doing on Christmas Day than reading my ramblings!) So that just leaves me to say Merry Christmas to you all. Have a lovely restful festive week, and I’ll be back soon with any good Boxing Day sales and my 2024 top ten shows round-up before we head into the New Year!
Happy ticket-buying!

In the news this week…
I’m kind of a big deal
Let’s face it, Dolly Parton is an absolute icon, so it’s quite right that she has a second jukebox musical on the go! Here You Come Again is currently touring the UK but it’s settled at London’s Riverside Studios for the festive season. You can get £15 tickets to see it over the next few weeks. The venue is exactly what it says on the tin - studio seating. So there’s not really much of a ‘restricted view’ section, just further to the side or further back. The £15 seats will probably give you a pretty good view, but there’s others at £20 too.
Hey big spender
Here’s your discounts, offers and cheap seats this week.
🏃 New rush alert! You can get £25 tickets to Titanique and £29.50 tickets to The Tempest through the TodayTix rush on the app. They are available each morning at 10am for that day’s performances.
🎲 Lottery alert! Operation Mincemeat will be drawing their £25 ticket lottery for Christmas performances (including the special New Year’s one) on Friday 20 Dec at midday. Make sure you sign up before then.
Don’t forget See it Live in 2025 is still going strong, and likely will do well into 2025. You can get tickets from £10 to shows all over London. There’s plenty of £30 tickets for West End hits too.
