This doesn’t happen often, but I’ve had a really good theatre week. Like I’ve genuinely really enjoyed every show I saw! I suppose you could say I’ve been in theatre heaven. I’d probably have booked some return trips if two of the shows weren’t closing this weekend. I would recommend trying some last minute rush seats for them though if you can.
I booked two of the shows this week on TodayTix’s rush tickets scheme. If you haven’t taken advantage before then definitely look it up - you can get on-the-day seats for top shows for as little as £20. They’re usually some of the best seats in the house too. I saw Cruise last weekend from the front row for £20 on a rush ticket. We also had a brilliant night at Sister Act on Wednesday with £25 rush tickets in the stalls.
We saw My Fair Lady on Monday through the WhatsOnStage offer I put in the newsletter a few weeks ago, but there is rush available too! Couldn’t believe how good our seats were on the WOS offer though - incredible view from the stalls and one of the comfiest seats I’ve ever sat in. Three really enjoyable shows, all for £25 or less. Absolute heaven in every sense, and proof you don’t have to spend a fortune to see amazing theatre - something I constantly preach about!
Happy ticket-buying!

In the news this week…
I’m kind of a big deal
Right, you may have seen loads of adverts for London Theatre Week (LTW from here on) with tickets at £15, £25, £35 and £45. There’s lots of West End shows included, but not all of them have all price levels of tickets available. Also not all of them are massive reductions on the normal price or even great value for money!
There are some good deals to be had though, so I’ve looked through and picked out the best of the bunch individually below. Of course this is based on cheap tickets at £30 or less, so if you have a bit more to spend and want to browse yourself then try some of the agents listed below…
Hey big spender
Here’s your discounts, offers and cheap seats this week.
This is your absolute final call to get FREE kids tickets for London shows as part of Kids Week. Next week is September (can you believe it) and the offer is only running throughout August.
The show I’m in is having a little bank holiday sale, so you can get 10% off A Midsummer Night’s Dream until Monday. This means tickets are as little as £9! Use code MIDSUMMER10.
Love this half price offer for We Will Rock You in Manchester - you can get tickets for as little as £12.25! Valid Mon-Wed performances, ends on the bank holiday Monday.
Get £15 tickets for Grease in Sep & Oct, there’s also some good ones at £25.
There’s also £15 tickets for The Mousetrap.
Anything Goes has just over a week left in town and there’s some £15 seats remaining for its final shows.
There’s lots of £15 seats for The Drifters Girl in its final weeks, including in the stalls.
Some of the dates on offer for & Juliet have £15 tickets in the back row of the dress circle which is still a pretty good view, bargain!
And don’t forget there’s loads of seats on offer for Dirty Dancing months ahead of its next London run, they start from £15.
There’s £15 tickets for Millennials this weekend.
There’s a few £20 seats left for some of the final performances of Fashion Freak Show.
Get half price tickets for the new musical Ride at the Charing Cross Theatre - starting from £20.
I, Joan opens at The Globe this weekend and there’s lots of brilliant £20 seats on offer.
The Book of Mormon doesn’t normally have big discounts so I would really recommend the £25 seats available in LTW. They may be the back corners of the stalls and circle, but it’s a small theatre so they’re pretty good!
There’s some really good £25 seats for Wicked in the stalls, on the side but super close to the stage!
Get amazing seats for Come From Away for £25, including right at the front of the stalls!
There’s very limited £25 seats for Heathers but they are pretty good if you can find them.
And finally, most of the seats are at £25 for Choir of Man’s return in October.
Don’t throw away your shot
