AD - my ticket to Flowers for Mrs Harris was gifted in exchange for an impartial review.
Just the two shows this week (a little calmer than last week!) but they were two much-anticipated ones. On Wednesday I was super lucky to see Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends, from a box no less. Being just a metre away from the likes Lea Salonga and Joanna Riding singing some of musical theatre’s most famous songs was pretty incredible! So I’m not the biggest Sondheim fan, blasphemy I know. But even I had a great time watching this show which is undoubtedly a collection of his best work. If you’re interested in seeing some greats belting out Sondheim tunes then there’s daily rush tickets for just £29.50. You might have to fork out a bit more than that for this amazing box view though!
It seems being close to the action was the theme for this week as I found myself in the second row for the press night for Flowers for Mrs Harris at the Riverside Studios. I've been wanting to see this show for years after hearing good things. Sadly I'm not sure it was my cup of tea - personally I didn't get on with the score. However the cast are amazing - Jenna Russell does on-stage emotion like no other.
You can catch the show at the Riverside Studios until the end of November. And if you scroll down you may find a cheeky offer for it too!
Happy ticket-buying!

I’m kind of a big deal
I gushed about The Little Big Things in this newsletter a few weeks back, and I’m still urging everyone to go and see it. Luckily there’s a great 24-hour offer for the show at the moment and you can get tickets for just £15.
The £15 seats are on the second floor - I have sat there before and they are ok but if you have a little more money to spend I’d try going lower down. The £35 seats in the back of the stalls are great if you can stretch to those. However the on-the-day TKTS booth in Leicester Square has also been doing stalls seats for just £28 if you can wait until the last minute.
As always, don’t forget to check Seat Plan when booking to see what you’re getting!
