January is well and truly here - cold, snowy weather and dark nights. I try not to let it get me down but I know how hard it can be when it just all feels a bit grotty outside! I’m trying to keep myself busy with plans for this year - I like New Year’s resolutions, even if I’m not great at sticking to them! I like having a focus, and as last year was sadly a bit of a write-off for many personal reasons, I want to make this year the year for Bums on Seats. So, resolution number one - get busy creating content for my socials! First up - some more regular updates on my Insta grid for my theatre trips. So if you fancy giving us a like and a follow, I’d be super grateful.
You can read more on the post, but I really enjoyed Ballet Shoes! It was a great start to my trips this year. And of course I bought my tickets using the brilliant National Theatre rush scheme. The Friday Rush gives you access to £10 tickets for the National’s shows, and it’s open to all. I had a great view for this one which is normally worth a whopping £99!
So hopefully see you not only in your inbox, but also on my Insta and TikTok accounts over the coming months (links to both are at the bottom of this email). If there’s anything in particular you want to see from me, specific show discounts for example, do let me know.
Happy ticket-buying!

I’m kind of a big deal
As we begin the year, I wanted to highlight upcoming dates for one of my favourite kinds of offers. I love a Pay What You Can scheme - it’s a great way of providing more accessible tickets for those on lower budgets. And Stratford East are one of the frontrunners, usually staging one Pay What You Can performance for each of their in-house productions.
There’s four dates for the year ahead where you can buy tickets from just £6.
Animal Farm - Mon 10 Feb, 7:30PM
The Women of Llanrumney - Mon 24 Mar, 7:30PM
Lovestuck - Mon 16 Jun, 7:30PM
The Harder they Come - Mon 15 Sep, 7:30PM
