Itās probably been my quietest run on the theatre front in a while - I havenāt been to one in over a week! Sometimes you just need a break though, even I can enjoy a run of non-theatre-related activities once in a while. Boringly, these activities have mainly been in the life admin category and Iāve barely the left the house. Although I did have a nice little chat on my friendās podcast the other day. Laura is one part of the brilliant trio behind Chat Disney. Of course I managed to get some theatre in there and chatted about my experience of choreographing The Hunchback of Notre Dame earlier this year, as well as my love for Menken of course.
Still not quite back in a theatre, but on Friday Iām heading to a screening of Prima Facie which has been re-released in cinemas thanks to NT Live. I saw the show in the West End and really wanted to revisit this vital piece. Jodie Comer holds her own in this solo show about violence against women and the broken justice system surrounding these incidents. Itās powerful, but definitely check the trigger warnings before booking.
There are screenings happening all over the country from Thursday. You can check for screenings and buy tickets here. From searching locally, the cheapest option seems to be Odeon, however this may vary where you live. I would definitely shop around though, as I have seen prices ranging from Ā£15 to Ā£26 depending on which chain you book with! If you want to know a bit more about the show itself then you can check out my TikTok from the original NT Live screening in 2022.
Happy ticket-buying!
